Crack the mystery of I am who I am.
“Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of
slavery?” I am who I am is the one
who brought the Israel out of Egypt.
God reveals Himself to the people of Israel by action. Before He
spoke the words of love He acted. He liberated them from the slavery of
Pharaoh, the foreshadow event of, later Jesus sets himself to liberate the
whole humanity from the clutches of Satan. God led them out of Egypt which was
the sign that
Jesus would lead people out of Sin. Moses was appointed by God to lead and
guide them to the Promised Land. And the new Moses, Jesus is appointed even
before the foundation of the world to lead people to the New Jerusalem.
“I am the Lord your God” and it adds “Who brought you out
of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. Oh! God really says that
just now! And from Egypt, He is bringing you out, towards the Promised Land,
which is, but Heaven! The eternal Kingdom of the Lord, where there is no hunger
or thirst, cold or death. But everything will exude joy and peace. Every soul
will be replete with joy and peace. He is now releasing you from real slavery. Here is the Redeemer. It is I who I am.
God breaks your Slavery
Every human ruler may die, and through his death slaves may be
set free. But Satan does not die. He is eternal. He is the ruler of this world
and its pleasures who has fettered you in order to drag you wherever he wishes.
We are sinners and sin is the chain by which Satan holds us. Jesus came to
break the chain. He came in the name of the Father and because He wanted to
come. The prophecy and promise which has not been understood are therefore now
being fulfilled: “I
brought you out of Egypt and of slavery.” This is now being fulfilled spiritually. The Lord your
God is bringing you out of the land of the idol who seduced the First Parents.
He frees you from the slavery of sin. He clothes you once again with Grace and
admits you to His Kingdom. I solemnly tell you that those who come to Jesus
will be able to hear the Most High say to the blessed hearts, in a soft
fatherly voice: “I
am the Lord your God and I am drawing you to Me, free and happy.”
God Reveals
God reveals himself to humanity time and again so that man does
not lose sight of the real God and the Lord. Neither should one lose sight of
His spirit that is the Ten Commandment of love. Because it had lost sight of
the Law. It is said in the Book that the Lord showed Himself on Sinai in all
His fearful might, so to say: “I am God. This is My will. And this is the
lightning I hold ready for those who will rebel against the will of God.” And before
speaking He ordered that none of the people should go up to contemplate Him Who
is, and that also the priests should be purified before approaching the limit
of God, that they might not be struck. Because it was the time of justice and
of trials. Heaven was closed, as if by a stone, on the mystery of Heaven and on
the wrath of God, and only the swords of justice flashed from Heaven on the
guilty children.
Jesus is “I am who I am”
But not now. We are in the hour of grace. Jesus changed
everything on the Cross. If one could recognise Jesus as the Saviour and
Redeemer and believe in Him, one may have eternal wisdom. Jesus is the one I am
what I am. He is the way. He is the truth. He is the eternal life.
In John, chapter 8 we read Jesus said to the apostles, “Truly, I
say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”
Jesus said, “If you had known Me, you would know My Father as
well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him,
‘Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us. Jesus replied,
“Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me?
Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the
Father’?
Today Jesus would repeat the same words He said to Philip, “I
have been with you all this time and still you do not know me? Anyone who has
known me has known the Father. But the question is, do you know who is Jesus?
Then you can crack the mystery of I am who I am.
