The True Worship Part II   The two key ingredients for True worship are that one has to worship in truth and in Spirt. What is the truth? Truth is God’s Will. God’s Will is Truth. Many of us do not know God’s will and therefore do not know what the truth is. If Jesus were to tell us, 'know the Truth', each one of us will certainly echo the words of Pilate as to what the truth is.   Ture worship Definition by Jesus In order to understand the idol worship in its perspective, one should understand the meaning of True Worship. Jesus unequivocally has given a definition for true worship: One worships in spirit and in truth. Unlike other Gospel authors, John captured the essence of the conversation between Jesus and a certain woman at the well. John 4:23-24 reads “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Be Born Again It clearly says the true worshipers worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth. In preparation to worship God in Truth and in Spirit, one has to be born again in Water and in Spirit. Idol worship "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.” It says you shall not make idol at all. And enjoined by another strong statement of “You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,” The above verses are part of the First Commandment and forbids idol worship. God reveals Himself to the people of Israel by action. Before He spoke the words of love He acted. Who is this One God? There is only one God. Most of the major religions like Judaism, Islam and Christianity believe in and promote monotheism. The above said three Abrahamic religion easily fits into monotheistic religion and call themselves Children of One Father. These religions which form the major sections of the world population promote the worship of one God and while denying the existence of other gods. There are around 4300 religion in the world and each one has its own understanding about the existence of God. This one God is everywhere The commandment is intended to give man Grace and Life.
